I am reading The Horrific Sufferings of the Mind-Reading Monster Hercules Barefoot: His Wonderful Love and His Terrible Hatred by Carl Johan Vallgren and finds that the main character Barefoot/Barfuss, is able to become animal. He is described flying with and seeing as a crow - in black and white, which is a bit disappointing since crows most likely have very good color vision with their four color receptors. However it is always interesting to read how others imagine animals vision.
