Last week as the rain poured and mud puddles began to form, Serena and I felt prompted to create a natural painting documenting our two dog friends playing in the rain. Both Rocko and Ziggy proved to enjoy the process, wrestling all over the paper as if it were the surrounding mud and grass. The painting itself is two sided- the first documenting the pressure on the ground reacting to the footprints and bodies of both dogs and both of us humans. The second side documents the actual footprints of both sets of animals, as well as the bodies rolling around. Thus resulting in a pure documentation of wild, unbridled joy and interactions between two species and four friends.
