Exploring the connecting life force

I am still in the phase of experimenting and thinking about animals and my connections to them, and trying to explore the deeper life forces that exist within us and them. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have been doing progressively more yoga and mediation, which both led me to a very real understanding that everything is essentially the same spirit body. I have been reading the “Bhagavad Gita” and “The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali” and have found that they have a lot of relevance to this course. One quote among many that struck me was the following:

“Those who possess this wisdom have equal regard for all. They see the same Self in a spiritual aspirant and an outcaste, in an elephant, a cow, and a dog. Such people have mastered life. With even mind they rest in Brahman, who is perfect and is everywhere the same.” (5.18-5.19)

This is just one example of what has been going into my thinking process for my projects. I want to do something where I can connect with an animal on that level of oneness. I feel that my projects will be experiments in some kind of meditation with animals, or energy recognition and transmission between one another. Perhaps connecting my breath with that of my dogs, and seeing what connections we can make and whether a transmission or energy and compassion can be felt.

I will also be going to a few Kundalini yoga classes this quarter to learn about ways of focusing my intentions of life force energy and seeing if I can physically feel a bridge between myself and an animal or just communicate compassion. I think it is really important in this day in age that we relay compassion towards animals and open up lines of communication.
