Pet: Cat
I'm a Ph.D. student working with perception and computer games. My theoretical position is within the ecological approach to perception. I have created a demo computer game for my cat and it plays willingly, chasing a virtual mouse. The work is in progress, but will hopefully develop to become a more finished project in relation to games, virtual worlds and perception crossing the boundaries for species and mediated interaction. For now it is a fun project that at the same time provides a set up where perception can be investigated and seeks to address perception as a common ground for humans and animals and their situatedness in the world.
