I tried Barbara's technique on my dog I felt tense through my shoulders. Like my muscles where sore but I could not see myself. I also tried it with a humming bird at my feeder but it was hard to focus cause the bird was moving around a lot. I really appreciated Barbara's way of reminding us to be present in the moment and aware of our breathing, encouraging us to be aware of how our bodies feel. I also really like the point she made about always speaking in positive terms. Reminds me of the old saying "You'll catch more flies with honey than you will with vinegar".
