Baby Red-eared slider turtle sand art

The Red Eared Slider Turtle is a mostly aquatic turtle, however is cold blooded and needs to sunbathe regularly in order to regulate its body temperature. In order to incorporate this behavior into a collaboration between us and the turtles, we will set up a glass table with sand on top of it and a light underneath. As we move the light underneath the table, the turtles will move towards the light and push around the sand, creating unique designs that display our collaboration with the turtle while utilizing its specific behaviors.
