Circus Animals 2

I am attempting to continue the idea of my original Circus Animals project. I will attempt to spin poi with either my friends cat Sage or Emma, the cat that has adopted our backyard and living room as its home. My hope is the cat will be more interested in the poi, because they are more stimulated by movement than dogs. I have attempted the project once already, but it was not very successful. The cat was acting how cats sometimes do, snooty and better than us. She could care less about what I was doing or even her piece of string, her favorite toy. I have hope that I will be able to collaborate with the cat as long as I get her in a frisky mood.

Sage is completely apathetic to me and everything I do.

I haven't had too much time to work on this project because I have been spending most of my time at the beach, looking for dolphins. I played a bit with Emma at my house. She seemed intrigued, for a while, and I felt like I was collaborating with her on her level. After a while she started hunting and lost interest in what I was doing or trying to do.

Recently I worked with Emma, our pseudo house cat. The result was a semi-success. While I definetly was able to interact with her and in this way able to collaborate with her, she didn't react to my actions how I had originally intended. I believe this further emphasizes the importance being flexible with your project goals, as well as evaluting your goals to see they are something the animal will acutually want to do.
